KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Deputies are searching for a man accused of robbing a Knox County sandwich shop Tuesday night.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a man entered Subway, 713 East Emory Road, around 11 p.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk, and took money from the register.

He was last seen heading east on Emory Road in a gray Pontiac with chrome-style wheels.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, around 6 feet tall, and weighing 180 to 200 pounds.

Deputies say he was wearing a black T-shirt with a design, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He kept his face covered during the robbery.

Officials say this robbery may possibly have a connection with two other robberies in different areas due to similar descriptions of the suspect.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says they are working with law enforcement agencies in Sweetwater and Loudon County to identify the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call KCSO at (865) 215-2243.
