Man sent to hospital after Knoxville stabbing


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man was sent to the hospital after being stabbed Tuesday morning at a Knoxville gas station.

Knoxville police say it happened just before 6 a.m. at the Pilot gas station located on the 800 block of Beaumont Avenue.

Officers found 55-year-old Gary Washington sitting on the curb with a stab wound to his left arm.

He was transported via Rural/Metro to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
