KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Three people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a Knoxville police investigation into the sale of heroin.

Police officers executed a search warrant at an apartment located at Steeplechase Apartments, in the 5800 block of Central Avenue Pike.

Christopher Jackson, 33, Eddie Taylor, 31, and Jessica McCarver, 21, are charged with the possession of heroin for resale.

Officers report finding a quantity of heroin, drug paraphernalia and items used in the packaging of narcotics. Several EBT and money cards valued at over $8,500 were also found, which are believed to be used in trade for heroin.

Police had obtained the search warrant after an ongoing investigation into the sale of heroin at the apartment.
