KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Saturday morning in Knoxville.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing on the 600 block of Woodlawn Pike just before 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Officials say that Timothy Myers was informing Jonathan Ray that he was evicting him from his home when Ray became upset and stabbed him three times in the stomach and cut him once on the arm.

Police found Ray several blocks away on Moody Avenue a short time later. Ray also sustained stab wounds.

Both Myers and Ray were transported to UT Medical Center with what were thought to be non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
