KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Vol fans and Bulldog lovers came together Friday night to celebrate a collaboration between two of their respective states most popular breweries.

The "35th Parallel Ale" was the center of a special ceremony Friday evening at the Sunspot restaurant on Cumberland Avenue.

The beer is a collaboration between Terrapin Beer Company of Athens, GA and Saw Works Brewing Company of Knoxville.

The two companies decided to manufacture the beer together in celebration of Saturday's UT vs. UGA matchup at Neyland Stadium.

The beer's name references the water wars between the two states and the disputed state line on the 35th Parallel.

The beer has been in taps in both cities since October 1.
