KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A local activist group that grew out of President Obama's campaign is working to inform the public about their options in the Affordable Health Care Act.

Organizing for Action held an event at the Knoxville's Beck Center Thursday to gather volunteers and prepare them to canvass different parts of the city with literature on Obamacare.

They say their goal is to clear up confusion about what the Affordable Health Care Act is.

"We have information that we're passing out that will help folks understand what the program is all about, what the options are, where they can go, who they can contact, how they officially get eligible and sign up," said volunteer Carl Wheeler.Organizing for

Action is also helping people determine which health care plan works best for them.
