KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Drivers and neighbors in a North Knoxville neighborhood say they're having a hard time seeing at an intersection. The result, they say, has been several accidents and a number of near misses.

A viewer emailed Streetwise asking for a closer look at a sight issue near Shannondale Elementary School at the intersection of Oriole Drive and Greencrest Road.

The viewer said bushes and shrubs are overgrown and block the view, making it very dangerous for students and drivers. The viewer also said a number of accidents have occurred at the intersection.

The concern is for the safety of not only motorists, but also kids walking to the nearby Shannondale Elementary.

Residents would like to see something done to better the sight lines.

Streetwise will contact the city to see what can be done. If you live in the City of Knoxville, you can call Knoxville's 311 call center to report similar issues. Operators will then send your concerns to the proper department.
