KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville City Council will vote Tuesday on the proposal for a tax-incentive package to help fund the redevelopment effort along the city's south waterfront.

The proposal is for the $165 million complex of apartments, shopping and hotel known as "The Bridges at Riverside," replacing the old Baptist Hospital site.

The proposed incentive package would put $22 million in anticipated tax revenue toward the project over a 20-year period. It's the largest financing incentive ever in Knoxville.

If it's approved Tuesday, the proposal will head to county commissioners on Oct. 28.
