KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knox County man has been charged with two counts of theft over $10,000 after a number of stolen vehicles were found at his home on Kimberlin Heights Road.

Gary Steven Valentine was taken into custody Tuesday while officers were conducting a search warrant at his home.

Court documents show Valentine was found to be in possession of a 1973 Chevrolet Camaro reported stolen on October 18 in Dalton, Ga. The car is said to be valued at $10,000.

A 2006 Caterpillar 277B reported stolen from a job site in Kingsport was also found on his property, valued at $40,000.

An arraignment hearing is scheduled for November 5 on both charges.

Authorities were seen at the home for a large part of Tuesday, hauling away a number of items including commercial grade lawn mowers, ATVs and Bobcats.

Neighbors told 6 News a number of other reportedly stolen items were found at the home, some belonging to them.

So far no additional charges have been filed.
