KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The pair of restaurants with the lowest grades this week have identical scores. Any grade below 70 is considered unsanitary by the health department.

Waffle House, 507 Lovell Road - Grade: 69

In the kitchen, the inspector watched fruit flies buzzing around.

He also watched a kitchen worker drinking from an open cup. It's okay for them to sip on a soda, but the cup has to have a lid on it with a straw, so nothing accidentally spills on food.

The inspector found ham was out of temperature. It should have been at 41 degrees, but it wasn't.

Bleach was found next to plastic plates. That's the wrong place. Bleach and other chemicals are supposed to be separated from plates or food.

Stockyard Cafe, 5309 Fountain Valley Drive - Grade: 69

Potentially hazardous food, milk and hot dogs had not been maintained at 41 degrees.

When the inspector checked the men's restroom, there was not cold running water. Both hot and cold water are necessary so customers can properly wash their hands.

Top scores of the week:

  • Blount County Meals on Wheels, Maryville - Grade: 100
  • Bistro Cafe, Parkwest Hospital - Grade: 99
  • Hibachi Factory, 1815 Cumberland Avenue - Grade: 96
  • Barberitos, 215 Brookview Center Way - Grade: 95
  • Chuck E. Cheese, 8225 Kingston Pike - Grade: 95
  • Orange Leaf, 36 Market Square - Grade: 92
  • Buddy's Bar-B-Q, 3700 Magnolia Avenue - Grade: 92
  • Sam & Andy's 2613 Adair Drive - Grade: 92
