ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - A weeks-long drug investigation leads to the arrest of a 49-year-old mother and her adult son.

According to the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office, investigators got a tip that Linda Joyce McCllelan, 49, was transporting and selling illegal drugs. They had been investigating her since mid-September.

Narcotics officers later found McClellan at a McDonald's located off Highway 66. While speaking with her, an officer noticed a marijuana cigarette lying in plain view in the vehicle's ashtray. Officers say she was also found with a small metal container of Oxycodone pills. Investigators believe she intended to sell them.

On October 23, an officer went to McClellan's home to serve an arrest warrant, but the officer was met by Gary Lynn Webb, 30 who is McClellan's adult son. Webb told the officer that McClellan was not at home and refused to cooperate with officers. Webb was later arrested for obstruction, and McClellan was found inside.

McClellan is facing drug charges including possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Webb is charged with obstruction of the legal process.
