Oak Ridge man charged with statutory rape of 15-year-old girl

OAK RIDGE (WATE) - A 31-year-old Oak Ridge man has been charged with the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl.

According to an arrest report, the victim was interviewed on Oct. 25 at the Clinch Valley Children's Center and said she had sexual intercourse with Ramiro Hernandez-Lopez, 31, approximately five times over the last five months at Hernandez-Lopez's apartment.

Hernandez-Lopez was interviewed on Oct. 30 and admitted to the same number of sexual encounters, the most recent occurring on Oct. 4.

He has been charged with aggravated statutory rape, which is a Class D felony.
