KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A local salon and spa put on a fundraiser and fashion show Sunday night to help fulfill the dreams of children with terminal and chronic illnesses.

6 News Anchor/Reporter Hayley Harmon acted as a celebrity judge at "The Cosmic Collection: A Night Under the Stars."

Harmon helped decide the winner in a hair and fashion competition among stylists at Belleza Salon and Spa, who sponsored the event.

There was also a silent auction and raffle, and all of the money raised went to the Dream Connection.

The charity fulfills the special dreams of East Tennessee children who have debilitating illnesses.

"It was a great surprise and pleasure for us that they chose us. We are an all volunteer organization so we have no overhead. Everything we get goes towards honoring the dreams of children in our area," said Dr. Mary Palmer, with the Dream Connection.

Stylists also competed for cash prizes to use for more education.
