KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A suspect was arrested Monday afternoon accused of stabbing a 19-year-old man in East Knoxville.

Officers were called to an address on Wilder Place near Natchez Avenue just after noon.

William Gregory, 19, was located on Dandridge Avenue near Hill Avenue en route to the hospital. He suffered severe injuries, but they are not believed to be life threatening.

A 17-year-old suspect was arrested a short time later. He was charged with aggravated assault and taken to the Knox County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Police say the victim and suspect were acquaintances.
