SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - The City of Pigeon Forge Fire Department and the City of Sevierville Fire Departments conducted a joint fire training Monday night and will hold two more Tuesday and Wednesday.

The main objectives of this training exercise are to improve safety and efficiency while fighting fires by working together along with sharing policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.

The trainings cover command and control of fire, driver and pump operation, apparatus placement, hose line advancement, forcible entry, search and rescue, fire attack and ventilation.

The training exercise will include 60+ firefighters, 16 fire ground commanders and several EMR and EMT students from the local college.
