SEYMOUR (WATE) - A Knoxville woman died after a fiery wreck Tuesday morning that shut down a major road for over three hours.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers say a 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by Andrea Trotter, 30, of Knoxville, was headed southbound on Boyds Creek Highway near the intersection with Mississippi Avenue around 4:15 a.m.

The vehicle crossed the center divider and left the roadway to the left side.

The Jeep then traveled on an embankment, struck a large tree, continued into a field and burst into flames. Trotter was later pronounced dead.

No other cars were involved in the accident.

Boyds Creek Highway reopened by 7:30 a.m.
