Sevier Co. crews extinguish overnight house fire

KODAK (WATE) - Firefighters in Sevier County worked to extinguish an overnight house fire Thursday morning.

It happened around 12:50 a.m. on the 2400 block of Douglas Dam Road.

Officials say the home was about 50 percent involved when they got to the scene.

Firefighters say it took about an hour to contain the flames.

Crews told 6 News no one was at the house at the time of the blaze.

The Northview Volunteer Fire Department, Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department, Seymour Fire Department and Dandridge Fire Department responded to the fire.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
