WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WATE) - A man was arrested in Whitley County, Ky. Thursday morning for allegedly crashing his vehicle into a house while drunk, and then leaving the scene.

Nathan Peace, 18, is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence/under 21 years old, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident, wanton endangerment, no operator's license, and reckless driving.

The Whitley County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a home on Steven Lane in Williamsburg around 6:15 a.m. where a vehicle had struck a residence.

The impact of the crash caused the contents to fall inside a room where a 5-month-old child was sleeping at the time.

The driver, later identified as Peace, had fled the scene. He was later arrested and taken to the Whitley County Detention Center. He was released on $7,500 bond Friday morning.
