Vols game cut off by failed Comcast service

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Although the Tennessee football team fell to the Auburn Tigers, some Vol fans couldn't watch it on TV.

Cable service to Knoxville Comcast customers was cut for about two hours. Some customers were able to be tuned in late in the third quarter, just in time for fans to watch Auburn clinch the win. Complete service was up by 3 p.m.

6 News tried to reach out to Comcast, but the company's automated message only said the provider was down.

Auburn beat the Vols 55-23.
