A man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed his roommate with a Samurai sword late Sunday night.
According to an affidavit, the victim was stabbed in the 3600 block of Hewlett Drive after the two men got into an argument over money.
Chad Wilkerson, 44, told police he retrieved the Samurai sword and pulled it from the sheath to scare his roommate.
He explained that he accidentally cut himself when he pulled the sword out, and his roommate began to approach him.
Wilkerson told authorities that he then stabbed his roommate.
The Samurai sword went into the victim's stomach and out his back. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, but required surgery.
Police said Wilkerson was questioned at a nearby hospital while being treated for his injuries. He reportedly told authorities "he did not mean to hurt the victim," according to an affidavit.
Wilkerson was arrested early Monday morning and charged with aggravated assault.
