JEFFERSON CITY (WATE) - Firefighters worked through the night Monday to put out a house fire in Jefferson City.

The flames broke out around midnight at a home in the 800 block of East Ellis Street.

The Jefferson City Fire Department says no one was at the house at the time of the blaze.

It took crews four hours to extinguish the flames.

Officials say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
