KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Monday brings more sunshine and highs in the mid 60s. The 6 Storm Team says the night is dry with lows in the mid 40s, but things change dramatically on Tuesday.
We begin Tuesday with temperatures in the mid 40s, then they plummet during the afternoon. We'll be in the low 30s by the late afternoon hours with the wind whipping from the north at around 20 miles per hour.
We also have the chance for some light winter precipitation, but there won't be a lot of moisture with this system. The high elevations may see a dusting up to a half inch of snow on Tuesday morning and afternoon.
The valley will see light rain changing into snowflakes late, but we aren't expecting valley accumulation.
Moisture moves out Tuesday night, and temperatures continue to fall. Overnight lows will be in the mid 20s. Wednesday is dry with a high of 45 degrees.
