ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Two suspects wanted in Claiborne County for stealing a large amount of cash from a man's home were arrested in Hawkins County Sunday.

Aaron Lee Smith and Courtney Elizabeth Hatfield were arrested at the Quality Inn just off Highway 11W in Rogersville

Rogersville police officers had encountered the suspects there with large amounts of cash. They then called officials in Claiborne County.

After speaking with witnesses and bystanders, detectives determined Smith and Hatfield had stolen the money.

The investigation led to the discovery of nearly $10,000 in cash linked to the burglary. A stash of money was found in a residence in Claiborne County, and jail officials discovered more than $4,000 stuffed in Hatfield's bra.
