Knoxville to host free screening of Remote Area Medical documentary


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville's Historic Tennessee Theatre is hosting the premiere of a documentary film about Remote Area Medical's efforts to provide health care to Appalachia.

The film, called "Remote Area Medical," documents RAM's 2012 clinic at Bristol Motor Speedway, where volunteers served 2,000 Americans in three days.

The screening will take place at the Tennessee Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. The screening is free of charge.
