MARYVILLE (WATE) – A Maryville woman says three men in a car tried to abduct her around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night while she was walking her dog on Elkmont Circle in Maryville.

Angela Little says her dog, Sammy, needed to use the bathroom. She put him on a leash and started walking down the road.

"It was horrifying. And it could happen to someone else. I'm glad I'm still here," Little said.

Little was not far from her house.

"The car came around the curve and as he was pulling up, he turned his lights off and I immediately got scared. Really scared. He told me I had a cute pup and I said thanks," Little said.

She says the men made their move in no time. Little Sammy barked and tried to protect her the whole time.

"He grabbed my shirt and tried to pull me in the car. A guy from the back grabbed my hood. I wiggled loose and ran up the road screaming," Little said.

She says the men took off and she called 911 shortly after.

"There were no lights. It was dark and scary. Usually I carry mace, and the one time I didn't, something like this happens," she said.

Little says it was a red car with tinted windows and a spoiler. That's about all she could give us as a description because it was so dark.

The Blount County Sheriff's Office says deputies are still investigating.
