Thursday starts off cold but will then kick off warming trend

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Thursday started off cold in East Tennessee, but we can expect temperatures to warm up into the weekend.

The 6 Storm Team says high pressure dominates our weather pattern through the next couple of days.

A clear sky Thursday will help provide another round of cold air and frost.

The high pressure slides to the east Thursday increasing our south breezes that will start a warming trend all the way into the weekend.

Temperatures could jump to near 70 degrees by Sunday as well.

Another cold front brings rain late Monday into Tuesday followed by colder air once again.
