Ice Bears shutout Huntsville 2-0


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Ice Bears made the most of their limited offense, scoring twice and holding off Huntsville to post their first shutout win of the season, 2-0 Friday night at the Civic Coliseum.

The Ice Bears managed just 17 shots on goal.

Cody Dion scored at 1:23 of the first period on a pass from Jon Higgins to make it 1-0 .

The Ice Bears made it 2-0 when Mark Van Vliet scored with :02 left in the period.

Huntsville had 32 shots, but Ice Bears goalie Bryan Hince was perfect between the pipes-- logging the shutout win.

Knoxville hosts Columbus tonight (Saturday, Nov 16) at 7:35.
