One man dead, two injured in early morning crash


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - One man is dead and two are injured after an early morning accident Sunday on Woodson Drive near Deanbrook Road in South Knox County.

Officers responded to the single vehicle crash just after 1 a.m. A silver 2002 Pontiac Sunfire ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The front seat passenger, 30-year-old Kenneth L. Klemt of Rockford, was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver, 38-year-old Christopher M. Glandon of Rockford, was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

A back seat passenger, 53-year-old Clay T. Jumper of Knoxville, was also transported to the UT emergency room for evaluation.
