BULLS GAP (WATE) - A Norfolk Southern train carrying hazardous materials in Hawkins County derailed Tuesday night.

Crews worked into the morning Wednesday to clean up the scene on Highway 66 near the Seminole Gas Company.

Officials told our sister station WJHL-TV that the train driver was injured in the derailment and brought to a local hospital.

A command post was set up in the area, but dispatchers told 6 News their crews cleared the scene by around 3:30 a.m.

Hawkins County authorities say no hazardous material leaked from the derailed cars.
