KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Seven area high school football teams advanced to the state semifinals with wins on Friday night while another team has secured a trip to the state title game.

In Class 6A, Maryville rolled over Sevier County 56-14. The Rebels will host Blackman in a state semifinal game on Nov. 29.

In Class 5A, West traveled to Anderson County and upset the top-seeded Mavericks 32-19. The Rebels will host Cleveland on Friday.

In Class 4A, the state semifinals will feature two Knoxville area teams-- Fulton and Catholic.

Fulton defeated Greeneville 40-20 in a state quarterfinal game, while Catholic traveled to Hixson and won 14-13. 

The Falcons will host the Irish on Nov. 29.

In Class 3A, Alcoa defeated CAK 42-14.  Alcoa will host Upperman in a semifinal game.

In Class 2A, Grace Christian Academy will host Trousdale County after beating Silverdale 49-21.

Coalfield advanced to the Class 1A state semifinals with a 34-0 win over Midway. The Yellow Jackets will host South Pittsburg on Nov. 29.

And in Div. II, Webb beat ECS 28-15 in a semifinal game on Friday night. The Spartans will face St. George's for the state title on Dec. 5 in Cookeville.
