MARYVILLE (WATE) - A Maryville woman was arrested Monday for felony reckless endangerment after officers said she was operating a vehicle under the influence with a small child in the back seat.

Court records show Julie Elizabeth Miller, 26, is charged with felony reckless endangerment and driving under the influence.

An officer says he was dispatched to the EZ Stop, 1764 West Broadway Avenue, in reference to an impaired person in a gold Audi sedan.

When the officer arrived, he discovered the vehicle had left, going south on Sandy Spring Road.

The officer eventually caught up to the Audi, and noticed it was not maintaining lane boundaries.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer noticed the driver, Miller, was lethargic and had dilated pupils and bloodshot eyes.

A small child was also in the back of the car.

Miller said she had taken prescription medication prior to driving the vehicle. She agreed to submit to field sobriety tests, during which the officer determined she was under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

She was also charged with felony reckless endangerment because the officer said she was driving under the influence with a child under 16 years old in the vehicle.

Miller was taken to the Blount County Jail without incident.
