BEAN STATION (WATE) - A trial date was set Monday morning for the man suspected of killing two people at a Bean Station pharmacy in May.

Jason Brian Holt, 37, is accused of killing pharmacist Stephen Lovell and customer Richard Alexander Sommerville while robbing Down Home Pharmacy of prescription pills on May 23. Pharmacy workers Alexia Wilson and Janet Clift were also shot. They survived.

Holt appeared in court Monday morning as the judge set dates for his trial and several hearings leading up to the trial.

Trial is scheduled for Sept. 30. 2014. Status hearings are scheduled for January 28 and April 21. An evidentiary hearing is set for May 16. That date is also the deadline for attorneys to file any motions.

District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn said in June that his office will seek the death penalty against Holt. Holt's attorney said he was suffering from brain damage after a motorcycle accident 10 years ago.
