HAWKINS COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

A Rogersville man pulled over for a noise violation early Saturday morning was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he was found with three 13-year-old girls in his car.

According to a report from the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, one of the girls said they only knew Derrick Dalton Goins, 20, 1177 McKinney Chapel Road, Rogersville, through Facebook and that he picked them up to take them to another 20-year-old man’s house in Bulls Gap.

Goins was pulled over around 3 a.m. on Highway 66, near the intersection with Speedwell Road, and as the deputy approached his car Goins opened the door and told the deputy he would have to cite him for not having insurance or registration.

The deputy noticed the girls and asked for their identification. That is when they told him they were all only 13.

Goins said the girls were related to him on his father’s side of the family.

Goins was taken to the Hawkins County Jail and charged with a muffler violation, financial responsibility, registration violation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
