KNOXVILLE (WATE) -The 6 Storm Team says Thursday is windy and warm with highs around 70 degrees.
We will have some isolated showers early, but the rain picks up during the evening. Although our threat for severe weather is not very high, we could have one or two embedded thunderstorms with strong wind.
Rain picks up in intensity Thursday night and Friday. It's a 100 percent coverage on Friday with highs near 60 degrees.
Area-wide, we'll pick up one to three inches of rain from Thursday evening through Saturday morning.
The plateau looks like it will get the most rain and localized flooding is possible.
Saturday brings a break in the rain, but it will be much colder. Highs are only in the mid 40s with lows in the 30s.
On Sunday, rain arrives again, and it will once again be heavy. It keeps going into Monday.
In total, two to six inches of rain will fall from Thursday night through Monday night. The heaviest numbers will be on the plateau.
It's much colder on Tuesday, and we could see this system wrapping up with Tuesday morning snow flurries.
