KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A slow moving cold front will hang out in East Tennessee tonight through Saturday morning, bringing bands of rain, some of which could be moderate to heavy.

One to three inches of rain is possible through late Friday night, especially along the plateau.

Most areas will get a break from the rain Saturday, but the rain will likely return late Saturday night. There may be a light winter mix or minor icing along the plateau as the moisture begins again late Saturday.

Rain is expected on and off Friday through Tuesday with some total estimates of rain at two to five inches.  Remember to never drive into high water. Drier air should arrive late Tuesday.
