KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knox County deputies say an attempt to arrest a suspect ended with a chase and a woman in handcuffs on Thursday.

They say they were looking for Joseph Beaver, 23, around 6 p.m. at a home on Avenue A. He has outstanding warrants for aggravated burglary and theft.

Deputies say they found him at a home, but he smashed a window and got away.

The sheriff's department used dogs and a helicopter to try and track him down.

Deputies say a woman at the house, Jacqueline Sims, 18, was taken into custody. She's facing charges for criminal trespassing and making false statements to police. The search for Beaver continues.

If you have any information on where he may be, call (865) 215-2243.
