KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Grab an umbrella before you head out the door, because East Tennessee will be seeing plenty of rain Monday morning.
The 6 Storm Team says the precipitation will taper off by the afternoon with cool highs near 50 degrees. However, more rain will arrive overnight.
As temperatures drop, the plateau may see the rain changing into light snow showers for early Tuesday morning.
A dusting up to a half inch of accumulation is possible for the northern plateau only.
For the valley, rain will continue through Tuesday mid-day, and then it moves out for good as we head into the mid-week.
Sunshine is back Wednesday through Friday. Highs stay on the cool side in the 40s.
