SEVIERVILLE (WATE) – Sevierville police are looking for two men they say ripped off a 95-year-old woman. They charged hundreds of dollars to her credit card. They also stole her jewelry and medication.

"They were just nice people wanting to help me, and I was stupid enough to fall for it," explained the elderly Faye Francis, who says she feels like a fool for being so trusting.

Police are hoping surveillance images will lead them to the two men who scammed her.

Francis was at a gas pump at Frank Allen's Market & Grill, having trouble swiping her credit card.

"He asked me if I needed help. I said I don't think so. So he said let me try it. He put the card in, and it worked," Francis said.

Francis says the men were nice, striking up a conversation, and one of the men even gave her a sob story.

"He said 'my wife has had both her breasts removed. She was dying from breast cancer,'" Francis said.

The men managed to get her credit card, pin number and address out of her by offering to shop for a gift card she needed and delivering it to her doorstep.

"I told them everything they wanted to know," Francis said.

"They're looking around constantly to see if they're being observed or watched ," explained Det. Kevin Bush, about the men in the surveillance footage.

Det. Bush is investigating the case. He says they charged hundreds of dollars in gift card purchases for themselves to her credit card, then they went over to her home.

"He said I really like this coffee pot," Francis explained about how, unknown to her, the men combed her house leaving with medication and jewelry.

Investigators have been able to gather some information about the suspects from their video.

"Looking at the vehicle, I think they are in the Pigeon Forge and Sevierville area doing concrete and construction work from time to time," Det. Bush said.

Both police and Francis hope someone recognized the men.

"Those people need to be caught or it could be worse for someone else," Francis said.

Through our interview with her, Francis kept saying how nice these men acted towards her. That's why it's such a shock.

Police say if they ripped off this woman, it's likely they are targeting other victims.

If you recognize the men in the video call Det. Kevin Bush at 865-868-1748.
