A vehicle flew off of Briley Parkway and landed on its roof in a hotel's parking lot Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Opryland hotel located at 2200 Elm Hill Pike in Donelson, not far from the Nashville International Airport.
Two other cars, a black SUV and a Camaro, were damaged.
Police said the driver of the car, an older white man, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The owner of the Ford Explorer that was damaged said she was working on the 14th floor when she was notified of the crash.
The woman who did not give her name said the vehicle was the only mode of transportation she has to get to work.
The owner of the Camaro damaged declined to comment.
The Stofleths from Evansville, Indiana were staying at the Holiday Inn after attending the Donnie and Marie Osmond concert, Tuesday.
"We just heard a lot of sirens going off," Beverly Stofleth said. "We really didn't know what was happening because we could not see anything out the window."
Once the Stofleth saw the wreck they, like many other guests, took pictures of the bizarre scene.
"Pretty bad wreck," Terry Stofleth said. "I was thinking in terms of employees lost cars."
Beverly added, "It is unreal but it could have been so much worse if other people would have been out here."
Police said he was alert at the scene.
Police said he is not facing charges at this point.
No other injuries were reported.
The driver's identity was not immediately released.
