Cold air stays in place, clouds coming

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A dry cold front will push through the region tonight bringing a few clouds and reinforcing another shot of colder air.

Plan on a cold one Thursday with very few locations getting out of the 30's.

A bit warmer air will move in Friday ahead of another area of low pressure that will increase our clouds. Rain chances return late Friday night and Saturday.

There is a chance that the moisture could start as snow or a light mix late Friday night then a cold rain Saturday.

The rain may end as a mix Saturday night late. Best chances for small accumulations will be across higher elevations.

Drier air should follow late Sunday into early next week.

TONIGHT: A Few Clouds: 24°

THURSDAY:  Mostly Sunny: 39°

THURSDAY  NIGHT:  Mostly Clear: 22°

FRIDAY: Sunny But Colder: 48°

SATURDAY: Rain Likely(Mix?): 48°
