A now-former Target employee was arrested for theft after allegedly using coupon codes to buy heavily discounted items on his last day of work.
According to an affidavit, Walter Rodgers, 20, used codes to discount $1,126.70 worth of merchandise at the Target on Charlotte Pike in Nashville.
With the help of two unknown females, Rodgers discounted and voided the items, reducing the cost to just over $3.
The two females left the store with the items. The entire act was caught on surveillance video.
It was not immediately known if the merchandise has been seized by police or if the women were also arrested.
Rodgers was charged with theft of more than $1,000 and booked into the Metro jail Wednesday. He has since been released on bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
