UNION CITY (AP) - A former Union City pastor and a woman who were charged with plotting to kill the minister's wife have pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

The Union City Daily Messenger reports that Edward Paul Mallonee and Shelley Shannon Moran entered pleas Friday in Obion County Circuit Court to felony reckless endangerment.

The newspaper reports prosecutors dropped the remaining counts against them and recommended that both be placed on probation.

Maloney pastored Second Baptist Church from August 1997 until his resignation in February.
