LOUDON (WATE) - State troopers are searching for the driver of a pick-up truck that crashed into a semi-truck early Monday morning.

Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol told 6 News that the truck was driving south on I-75 in Loudon County around 2:30 a.m. when it crashed into the back of a semi-truck.

Officials say the pick-up then turned over and caught fire.

The driver of the semi-truck told officials he got out to help the other driver, but that there was no one inside the wreckage.

THP is now investigating the whereabouts of that other driver.

One of the southbound lanes was shut down for about two hours following the incident, but has since reopened.
