 KNOXVILLE (WATE) - One man died when he tried to walk across Clinton Hwy. and was hit by a motorcyclist Saturday night. 

Ricky Atchley, 52 of Knoxville, tried to cross Clinton Hwy. at Treemont, on foot, at approximately 7:30 p.m. when the 2006 Kawasaki Motorcycle, driven by 63-year-old Robert Chastin of Clinton, hit him. 

Atchley was pronounced dead at the scene. Chastin was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with what are described as non life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation into this accident is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed or has information on this crash is asked to call the Knoxville Police Department at 865-215-7000.
