Snow flurries possible Christmas Eve

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Tuesday is the coldest day of the week, and also one of the coldest days this year!

Temperatures hold steady in the low to mid 30s. Don't be surprised to see a few passing snow flurries.

Tuesday night is clear for Santa's ride, but he will be bringing air from the North Pole along with him. Temperatures plummet into the upper teens.

We won't have a white Christmas, but it will be cold. Highs are in the low 40s.

A warming trend begins on Thursday with highs in the upper 40s. We are back in the low 50s by the weekend.

TUESDAY: Cold with Passing Flurries. Partly Cloudy. High: 34

TUESDAY NIGHT: Clear. Low: 19

CHRISTMAS: Sunny. High: 42
