THP identifies man found lying dead on Roane County interstate

KINGSTON (WATE) - The Tennessee Highway Patrol releasing the identity of a man whose body was found early Christmas morning on Interstate 40 in Roane County.

THP identified the man as Brian William Taylor, 42 of Heath Springs, S.C.  Taylor is described as a white man, wearing blue jeans, a blue-and-white checked flannel shirt, and tan-work boots.

Dispatchers received a call that a body had been on the eastbound lanes of I-40 at mile marker 364 around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

A preliminary investigation shows the man either jumped or fell from a moving vehicle and that his body was then struck by at least one other vehicle.

THP says they are investigating every possible scenario, including foul play.
