Ice Bears snap skid with 4-2 win


KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Ice Bears snapped a 2-game losing skid on Thursday night with a 4-2 win over the Huntsville Havoc at the Civic Coliseum.

The Bears struck first, taking advantage of a 5-on-3 power play. Francis Drolet scored his first goal of the season to make it 1-0.

Huntsville went up 2-1 on goals by Justin Fox and Justin Cseter.

Brady Vandenberk tied the game at the 17:41 mark of the 1st period on a slap-shot goal assisted by Jason Price and Cody Dion.

Phil Bronner gave the Ice Bears at 3-2 lead at 19:14 of the first.

Dion added an empty net goal at 19:51 of the 3rd period to make it 4-2.

The Ice Bears play at Huntsville on Friday night and then return home for games against Columbus on Saturday and Fayetteville on Monday.
