MORRISTOWN (WATE) - A Hamblen County man was arrested and charged Friday night with two home burglaries.

Cody Jack Ray Livesay, 32, was arrested Friday night at his home after fingerprint evidence linked him to a home burglary on December 11 on Copper Ridge Road.

In that burglary, the homeowner reported jewelry and several firearms were taken.

Livesay then admitted to another burglary that happened in late October on Little Mountain Road. The homeowner told deputies in that incident that jewelry, a TV and some cash were taken.

Due to the potential for harm to other Hamblen County residents, detectives requested for the TBI to expedite the fingerprint analysis. Therefore, a process that can take up to a year took only three days.

Livesay was already on parole for some 2008 home burglaries in Hamblen County and his fingerprints were already in the system.

Livesay is charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft of property over $1,000.

He is being held on $80,000 bond and is still being investigated for other home burglaries which happened around the same time.

More charges could be pending along with charges for any accomplices found.
