Dry New Year's Day, rain/snow possible this weekend

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A few thin clouds will float by tonight as weak high pressure keeps things dry through Wednesday night.

Rain Thursday will mix with some colder air by afternoon changing the rain to snow showers.

Best accumulations will be along higher elevations by early Friday. Parts of the valley could see a dusting to an inch. Another winter system is possible late in the weekend.

NEW YEARS DAY:  Sun & Clouds: 51°
