KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knoxville firefighter is in critical condition Thursday morning after previously being listed as stable.
Capt. Mark Lacey suffered a heart attack Tuesday night at the scene of a New Year's Eve house fire. He was then transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
Capt. D.J. Corcoran of the Knoxville Fire Department said early Thursday morning that UT Medical Center changed Lacey's condition to critical.
In a press release, Corcoran said, "We continue to ask for prayers for Mark and his family."
